SPECIALTIES

Pilates for Neurological Conditions™ (including Pilates for MS)

Pilates for Neurological Conditions™ works with issues common to neurological conditions such as muscle weakness, spasticity, imbalances, coordination issues, pelvic floor strengthening, and bladder weakness. Most of our Neuro trainers have worked with clients who have MS, Parkinson’s, Stroke, Lyme Disease, and more.

Pilates for Pre & Post Natal

Pre and Post Natal Pilates exercises are a wonderful way to help build and maintain core strength, teach you to open up your hips and increase flexibility and stability for a more comfortable pregnancy. Many women suffer from aches and pains during pregnancy. Prenatal Pilates is an extremely adaptable form of exercise, especially using Pilates equipment, and private or semi-private instruction. Postnatal workouts are geared to helping women rebuild their abdominals in a safe and effective way often targeting issues common to pregnancy such as diastasis recti.

Pelvic Floor Health

Pilates exercise is excellent for accessing and understanding the muscles and functions of the pelvic floor. Your trainer, with the help of our PF physical therapist, will design a program based on your individual needs. Whether learning to strengthen pelvic floor muscles or learning to relax them, or a combination of both, you will feel more empowered and in control.

Pilates for Weight Loss

This class or program is a great way to learn how Pilates can change your entire body. Without getting into your neck or back, you will access core muscles like never before! Learn the functional significance of all movements so you feel empowered, both physically and mentally. Pilates for Weight Loss can be done in both group and private settings.

Buff Bones™ (Pilates for Osteopenia & Osteoporosis)

Buff Bones is a medically-endorsed workout for bone and joint health that combines Pilates, functional movement, strength training, and therapeutic exercise with bone-strengthening and balance techniques. The workout follows a research-supported design of specifically sequenced exercises, making it an entire system of safe movement, rather than just a set of exercises.

Heroes in Motion™ (Pilates for Amputees)

Heroes in Motion is an international initiative founded by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), inspired by instructors who are dedicated to facilitating functional movement with comfort and ease for those who experience severe impediments to motor control. Two of our instructors are certified to work with this amazing clientele.

Pink Ribbon Pilates™ (Pilates for Breast Cancer Pre-Post Surgical)

Our Pink Ribbon certification allows us to confidently work with clients post surgery and those dealing with treatment or after treatment of breast cancer. This is an area of passion for our team as our founder, Nancy Higgins, battled stage III breast cancer and made a recovery and is constantly rehabbing post-op. The program helps to strengthen and stretch the shoulders, chest, core and back body.
