OUR STORY

Thank you for visiting our website. We are so happy you’re here.
Precision Pilates was founded by Nancy Higgins in 1998, formerly named West Street Studio. Nancy has been teaching in the Yoga and Pilates world for over 25 years.
Today, Precision Pilates is operated by Nancy together with her daughter, Liz. They both share a love for Pilates, but even more importantly, for community. Our philosophy is simple. We stay true to the foundations of Pilates, while creating fun and effective classes that will honor each individual’s wellness journey.
Our classes will transform the way you move and ultimately, the way you live.
Your Goals Become Our Goals
Pilates helps to improve your movement patterns, which in turn will help you to become free of pain and move with more ease. Our techniques are unmatched when it comes to spine rehabilitation, injury prevention, weight loss, and improved neurological function.
We’re so much more than a fitness studio. Come see for yourself.

Amy Paul
After years in an office setting, being a weekend warrior started to take its toll on Amy’s body. She needed to find something to help her maintain her strength and prevent injury. Amy started working with Nancy at Precision Pilates, fell in love with the practice, and became a Balanced Body Comprehensively Certified Pilates Instructor. Amy’s teaching style draws from her love of movement, creating classes that focus on proper form and alignment. She energetically encourages her students to use every repetition and breath to get deeper into their mind body connection.

Gary has been part of the Precision Pilates family since 2012. Gary was originally attracted to the team when he was introduced to the Precision culture with the many talented and versatile instructors who are so fully engaged with our clients. It remains a passion of Gary’s to work and play with these dedicated, enthusiastic professionals. Nowhere is the client more thoughtfully treated. Every decision and action are mindfully put forth with the happiness and well-being of each client in mind. It is Gary’s intention to contribute to this effort each time he enters the studio.

Jennifer Pollio
Jen discovered the healing powers of yoga at a young age. In 2012, Jen found Yoga Sculpt to be a perfect complement to her regular yoga practice. Working as a corporate sales manager, Jen understands the importance of creating balance in a hectic and sometimes overly demanding world. Her practice has not only given her inner peace outside of work but has helped her to remain centered and focused on the job. Jen’s classes are physical, energetic and fun. Her goals as a teacher are to help her students increase mobility, breathe with intention, and find joy in exercise.

Amy teaches Barre at Precision Pilates using her extensive dance background to make exercise fun! A dancer since she was only three years old, Amy knew that as soon as Barre came out she had to try it. Once she took her first class, she was hooked. Amy has been certified as a Barre instructor since 2019 and has been teaching virtual classes since the pandemic began. Amy knows that a great workout will boost your energy and confidence while toning and changing your body, seeing quick results which keeps up the motivation.

Parking Information: You may find parking on Monday’s in front of Beautify, and any time of the day there is parking directly behind the studio (entrance in the back of the building as well). There are also municipal lots throughout the downtown area only a short walk away.

Coming from Route 1N? Take exit 62E towards Danvers and then follow Route 62 past the Stop N’ Shop gas station (like you’re going to get back on route 1N-but don’t!) Cut through Circle Insurance and Detour Cars. You will be in our parking lot! Ask desk staff if this seems confusing
